Live/Screening at The Hollows: Underwater by Baby Alpaca

June 6, 2016, opening at 7:30 PM, with a performance and screening from 8:00- 9:00 PM, and a Q&A from 9:00- 9:30 PM. 

The Hollows is pleased to present a screening of UNDERWATER by the musical act Baby Alpaca, an exhibition of video art accompanied by live music from the LP of the same name. The screening will feature music videos of the songs “Under Water,” “Can't Find My Way,” “Teenage Graceland,” “Soaring Highways,” “Polar Lights,” “Will I Ever See You Again?,” “Forever Summer,” and “Sea Of Dreams.”

Baby Alpaca’s first LP, “UNDERWATER,” is produced by Filip Nikolic (Poolside/Ima Robot/Junior Senior.) The first single from the LP, “Teenage Graceland” premiered on Noisey February 1st, 2016. Followed by “Will I Ever See You Again?” on Vogue along with an exclusive performance. And “In Our Eyes” a duet with Theresa Wayman of Warpaint on Consequence of Sound. The debut EP’s music videos WILD CHILD & SEA of DREAMS premiered on Noisey, Nowness, NPR and Vogue. The band was featured in The New York Times and released the Turbotito remix of SEA of DREAMS on Fader.com. Baby Alpaca is not only about music, but the strong visual world that surrounds it. 

Chris Kittrell, better known by his stage name Baby Alpaca, is an American singer, songwriter, and artist. Kittrell’s expansive artistic repertoire includes film, painting,musical composition, autoharp, guitar and motion collage. His voice has been described as “hypnotic” by Vogue, “slinky, soulful” by Vice, and “sounds like a Morrisey fronted XX”. The debut album “UNDERWATER” will be released on May 6th, 2016.
