The Waxing and Waning of Emotions: Text Exhibit about Ghosting

  • GAMBA Forest 231 Norman Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

What drives men to ghost? What compels women to pick themselves up after each new disappointment? Brooklyn based writer/artist Smoking Barrel explores these questions through an exhibit of real live texts tracking the trajectory of that all too common post-twentieth century occurrence: ghosting. Set against the backdrop of Brad Pitt and his various love interests over time, the texts between "The Pope" and Smoking Barrel showcase an alarming trend in not just romantic relationships, but the general lack of empathy and compassion trickling into all aspects of how we engage with one another.

$5 door entry includes free glass of wine. Presentation/discussion with audience included, so arrive on time. Located at the GAMBA Gallery on 231 Norman Ave, Greenpoint Loft 114.
